I think Mark is easily the best pitcher the Sox have developed over the last 30 years. The only ones that might come close are McDowell and perhaps Alex Fernandez. McDowell crapped out at 127 wins, Fernandez at 107. I have a fear that Ramirez would still be in the pen, even though Richard would be in as well. Then again he had no problem putting Duque in the pen even though he hadnt been a reliever all year. but thats in the case of a vet. on the flip side, McCarthy b/c of his youth was left off.
