I don't know what kind of sign some Sox fans need to get it through collective heads, but you will never see Griffey in LF. Not on this team, not on an all-star team, not on a Simpsons episode. Griffey does NOT play LF. Not comfortable with the sight lines or throwing angles, nor should he be, he's never played there is whole life.

If BA is in the game, there is no excuse not to have him in CF. I don't care if it means replacing Griffey with Swisher and putting him in LF, there is no reason why BA should be playing LF right now.

 

And yes, I know Griffey will never play LF. He's got so many gold gloves in CF, he's awesome!!!!!!!!!

His contract is not good. Being a high payroll team makes it ok for us IMO. I don't think he is the worst thing you can have going in the 5th spot. He just should never sniff a playoff game. Get his 200 solid innings and live with it in the regular season. However, after today, he has to be gone. No way he can still be on this team next year.
