the homerun approach NEVER

EVER

works in the playoffs

we need more balance in our lineup for sure

yes i'm aware the phillies won against the brewers with homeruns today, but they do all of the other things right when facing a pitcher that they can't square up

Didn't the Phillies lead all of baseballs in walk this year? Also, they steal at a 90 pct clip. Even Werth was 20/21 stealing this year.

Garza might be finding himself in a predicament here soon, he can continue to throw fastballs but that might give our offense the ability to get their timing down, or he can throw more sliders but our guys seem to be able to handle that pitch (AJ's RBI single was on a slider)

How about a Roberts/Ramirez double play and 1-2 combo next year? However, I expect the Cubs to acquire Roberts.

Do the Orioles want MacDougal/Broadway/Logan ? (green)

Actually, homerun-heavy teams tend to do better in the playoffs.

Does TBS really think that making people hate Frank Caliendo and his rotten tv show will have an opposite effect.

I bet they trade Marshall, Cedeno, and Hoffpauir for Roberts.

Yeah, that 4-5 last game sucked.

Beat me to it.

Ugh...more sad range by Wise in LF. If it's hit shallow or deep, it just seems like he can't catch any ball not hit right to him.

Did Danks f*** Navarro's mom or something?

Dioner Navarro is annoying.

well it's kinda the point that he had a blip amidst a continued bad streak. so 'phew' as in he's back to normal.

thats what happens when you play 15ft from the warning track.

man they are really babbling.

danks settling

Nice inning John, I'm glad you're on the team I root for

For someone that didn't want to talk about anything but getting a shot in the post season once more, Jim Thome = monumental disappointment in this ALDS.

I'm finding it hard to be critical of him due to Tuesday.

haha, as i say that, thome leads off with a double

like i said earlier, our hitters are going to get the timing down on his fastball

Nice start...Thome made him get it down.

A normal runner MIGHT have gotten a triple, but a great start none the less.

there we go

Damn, maybe if I just speak of each guy like that while they come to the plate...

Lets keep talking smack on here. It's like the team can hear us and proves us wrong. :)
