October 13, 200817 yr Here's the current list of retirees via Whitesox.com. Yeah, 35 is next. No contest.
October 13, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 02:31 PM) 20 I hope not. Not for 20 Years at least.
October 13, 200817 yr I couldn't imagine it being anything but 35. 13 will happen eventually. As much as we moan about Ozzie here on the boards, he will always be remembered for bringing us a world series championship, and being a quality player when he was playing here as well.
October 13, 200817 yr QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) I hope not. Not for 20 Years at least. I say its a foregone conclusion, lets just do it now.
October 13, 200817 yr I think it will go #'s 35, 13, and 56. I'd love to see Thome's number 25 being retired by us too (although he hasn't been with us that long, I think he deserves recognition of a great career), I don't see it happening.
October 13, 200817 yr 35 is next after Frank retires (which could be next year). Then it'll probably be 13. Then in about 10 years, 14 should be retired for Konerko.
October 13, 200817 yr QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 11:10 AM) I think it will go #'s 35, 13, and 56. I'd love to see Thome's number 25 being retired by us too (although he hasn't been with us that long, I think he deserves recognition of a great career), I don't see it happening. I think 14 comes between 13 and 56.
October 13, 200817 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 05:04 PM) What about 23? Ventura/Dye day. Sorry Robin. But, The 2005 World Series MVP Stole your hopes of ever having a retired #.
October 13, 200817 yr QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Gotta be 35. 14 & 56 have not earned it yet, IMO. 56 hasn't earned it yet, but 14 has to be really, really close. He's what, #3 on our all time team home run list? I can't get Baseball-reference to load lately so I can't check but he's got to be around that.
