December 9, 200817 yr Did I see the stat right that the football Cardinals had not won a playoff game since 1947 or was it they did not have a home game since 1947? That is epic if you ask me.
December 9, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Dec 9, 2008 -> 02:58 PM) Did I see the stat right that the football Cardinals had not won a playoff game since 1947 or was it they did not have a home game since 1947? That is epic if you ask me. They won a playoff game in 1998.
December 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 9, 2008 -> 03:02 PM) They won a playoff game in 1998. Which, by the way, happens to be more than the annual Greatest Team Ever, the Cowboys
December 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 07:32 AM) Which, by the way, happens to be more than the annual Greatest Team Ever, the Cowboys Hey now, let's leave the Cowboys out of this.
December 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 9, 2008 -> 01:15 PM) Andrew, the Twolves had one of the greatest players to ever play the game for an extended period of time (Garnett). And the team has still never won a NBA Championship and only have one division title in 20 years. They've also had the inept Kevin McHale at GM for the most part of the last 14 years. The T'Wolves have been a very bad franchise although I don't know if I'd consider them the worst in the NBA (thank you Clippers), let alone in all sports. Edited December 10, 200817 yr by Felix
December 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 12:11 PM) Hey now, let's leave the Cowboys out of this. Just commenting on the irony. I'm not a Cowboys hater, I'm a sports media hype hater. Edited December 10, 200817 yr by lostfan
December 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) Just commenting on the irony. I'm not a Cowboys hater, I'm a sports media hype hater. You know what the Cowboys need? A little Brett Favre.
December 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:23 AM) You know what the Cowboys need? A little Brett Favre. That would cause a severe disruption in the space-time continuum.
December 13, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 11:54 PM) According to baseballreference dating back to 1876 the Cubs winning percentage is .514 which is actually higher than the Sox. I'm not motivated enough to look into what their record would be if you only took into account the modern era of baseball. That's what I thought, basically a .500 team. How do you define worst? A team like the Cubs who hasn't won it all, but has a decent overall record. Or a team that somewhere along the way has won it all, but the overall win% is not so great.
December 14, 200817 yr Yeah, Lions fans would come to the games if their team wasn't so pathetic. They want to like football, but the team won't meet them halfway. With the NFL's silly blackout rule, wouldn't the Lions fans buy tickets just to they can get the game on TV? They've had a bunch of Thanksgiving games blacked out as well.
December 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 07:27 PM) With the NFL's silly blackout rule, wouldn't the Lions fans buy tickets just to they can get the game on TV? They've had a bunch of Thanksgiving games blacked out as well. Who is going to fork out that much money just so others can watch? Much less watch a crappy team that hasnt exactly supported the fanbase with a good/decent/somewhat respectable team?
December 14, 200817 yr to my understanding the local television station would pay up the money to keep Bears games from being blacked out 20 years ago.
