Sox and Brewers talking Jenks....

Featured Replies

Paul White of USA Today was on XM radio and he mentioned that the Sox and Brewers are in some heavy talks about Jenks...

With our IF set who would the Sox be asking for from the Brewers

RYAN BRAUN.

Scott Podsednik?

oops. already did that.

Prince Fielder for Jenks...those would be heavy talks.

I'm here all week.

Well.

Lead off hitter

Young Pitching

There is what we can assume

Or........Gamel

Gallardo makes me happy.

Give me Hart or Gwynn Jr. idk who else we would want. Maybe Bill Hall to play 3B. Gag. Idk much about their minors, but I know they've got some good guys. But I thought they were IF guys.

One soxtalk member has Brewer connections, I forgot who he is

I'd take Gwynn Jr. in a heartbeat, they have not been able to use him enough because of their crowded outfield.

For Jenks that would be a horrible trade. Gwynn is a borderline starter. If you trade Jenks you aim for a top prospect or a few MLB guys.

He is the son of Tony Gwynn but he's horrible

Id take Gwynn as a throw in, but not even close to a main piece.

Cutter Dykstra? jk

There is absolutely no difference between Tony Gwynn Jr. and the average light hitting speedster with questionable fielding ability that you can sign off the street, aside from his pedigree I suppose.

I never said only Gwynn, but I would definitly take him as part of the deal.

Jenks should not be used to acquire a group of prospects, unless one is elite. Major league starters need to be brought back for Jenks and/or Dye.

Gamel would start at 3B in 2009 would he not?

Like I said, idk much about the Brewer's farm, so I'm beginning to wonder what they would trade for Jenks. I seem to recall them saying they were prepared to lose Fielder or something. He's a Boras guy, isn't he? I really don't think they're a great team for the Sox to trade with.

I would also take a tuna fish sandwich as part of a deal, though it doesn't have much value to me.

Carlos Villanueva would have to be involved, and you would need atleast one other too, possibly an elite prospect.

Who do they have other than Escobar?

Jeremy Jeffress supposedly looked good in the AFL.

Good to opposing hitters

There are 3 catchers near the top of that list, but would KW do that? I hope not. Their OF spects look pretty good, other than that I almost don't want to see KW get any more IF guys.

Trading Bobby for prospects really doesn't float my boat....
