I was thinking of this a few weeks ago. Loved their burgers. The one in Waukegan is now a Rally's.

The ones down here became Rally's then vacant buildings.

The only one I know of in Chicago anymore is on 55th and the Dan Ryan. There used to be a lot of them.

Whatever happened to Checker's? I used to love their burgers. They still around?

Down south a bit they are, they still have some in Florida. They are fantastic.

I think there are still a couple in the quad cities.

Beef-a-Roo double-cheeseburger = best burger ever.

They also have the best fries.

I can second this... their cheddar fries are out of this world.

I'm pretty sure Checkers and Rallys are the same thing.

I had a few Rally burgers in Cincinatti this past summer for the first time in years. I forgot how good they are.

My daughter always wants to go there just for those. She calls them cheesy fries. :P

Now that I think about it, back in high school I think there was always a lunchroom table of fat lonely girls we used to call the Whopper Virgins.

:)

They look the same but are very different in quality. I went to school in southern ohio and had several Rally's burgers, my roomates and I then traveled down to Key West and they were surprised how much better Checkers is.

They were merged in 2000.

Correct, but it still stands that they are different in quality, I urge you to check it out yourself. The menu's are even different between locations, they share some items, but they still had specialized items last time I was there. (2003 ish)

What-a-Burger >>> any other fast food burger

Getting back to the ads, it does seem to be exploitative. I'm not outraged, but mildly uncomfortable. But they are, in a way, just actors playing a role.

GO GET AN A-1 BURGER

its the best thing ever

Just had the best Whopper i've ever had today. Suck on that one, foreign critics!I just had it my way!
