That play at the plate wasn't even close, Hill ended up tagging him on the ass after the bad throw from Theriot. Weeks beat it by a good half to full second.

Looked like he beat it, ball handcuffed Hill and I don't think he got the tag down.

Ha. He was so safe and it wasn't even close. That's a tough decision for Theriot.

you mean dumb, not tough.

His lollipop throws wont make that play.

I love my Sox, but I LOVE when the Cubs lose. Not more, but still absolutely love it. It makes Sox losses a little easier to swallow.

After the reply it sure wasn't even that close, why was Hill so upset? What a douchebag.

My sentiments exactly!!

I hope Lou does leaves Gregg in the closer's role far too long!

The good news is if their closers struggle, they can acquire Kerry Wood again and not have to create room in their locker room.

The Cubs complete lack of a bullpen is going to hurt them a lot this year.

Why did Ryan Theriot decide to completely copy Aramis's batting stance? Its going to lead to him rolling over alot of inside pitches.

Prince hitting the ball hard today, this one left the premises 2-0 Brew Crew.

Brewers leaving Bush in to die. He's the king of late inning crooked numbers, but I guess they decided to let him lose the game for them.

Cubs tie it in the 7th on a play that wasn't even close at first, but they called Soriano safe.

What a bad call on that play!

Guzman gets an out but walks 2, Neal Cotts in, hopefully Brewers can score some runs here.

You've got to be kidding me

Unreal...since when has Soriano been clutch? You have to bounce that first pitch up to him.

Soriano doing work, 2 run shot at top of the ninth, and Brewers can't deliver.

Ryan Braun just missed two of the easiest hanging sliders you'll ever see. Also, who the hell did Carlos Marmol sleep with? He gets more close calls from umpires than anyone in baseball.

Those last two strikes looked inside to me

Fielder missed one on the last pitch of the game too.

Cubs win it.

Marmol is sensational. Everyone else in that bullpen is not.

He's not going to be able to pitch every game though. 4 appearances in 5 games for him.

The Cubs might have to give up everything for Peavy just so they can move Marshall to the pen. They have no options in the Minors, who are worth giving a shot.

The Cubs might have to give up everything for Peavy

Unfortunately they may not have to. Baseball "experts" keep saying it's almost a given that Peavy will be traded and if San Diego is desperate enough (and because of Peavy's no-trade clause) the Cubs may be able to get him for nothing of significance. Hell, they pulled it off last year with Harden.

For the love of God, get it down and away to Soriano.
