Egbert is either getting the ball up and getting it hit, or throwing it in the dirt.

I'm thrilled that he's done as well as he has.

Anderson could make it alot easier on us, Ozzie, and the entire organization if he showed he could hit better than .230.

But he hasn't yet... and so we have to put up with the consequences.

There would be NO centerfield controversy if Brian hit .250 or better.

Agree completely, Owens had a decent game, 2 hits 1 RBI, last night.

got out of leadoff triple situation.. nice

Lillibridge looks like he's really too far away from the plate when he's hitting.

I just don't think Lillibridge is MLB caliber hitter. The Sox would be better off if they could find a way to have him play in Charlotte this season.

Got him looking! Way to get out of that! :headbang

Lead off double for Alexi

Quentin doubles, Alexei scores!

Peppering the left field corner.

Rbi double for Q!

TCQ steals 3rd.

Quentin is alive finally.

BA... 2ks...

Both of his singles were cheapos, the Cubs outfielders were playing him incredibly deep for some reason.

I think I may be the lone person on this site that would rather see Jerry Owens hit over Brian Anderson. I just absolutely cannot stand to watch BA hit. It's just awful to me.

Beckham batting.

With our other OFers I'd rather have the D of Anderson.

Nono. I was just speaking of hitting the baseball. Not who I want to start in CF or defense or any of that. I just cannot stand to watch BA at the plate.

I'd love to have Brian but unless something happens Jerry will simply outplay him this spring.

I don't think anyone actually enjoys watching Anderson hit.

Alright guys, I'm gonna go watch the other game on TV, hopefully we can get 2 W's today :-)

Russell plunks the batter.

I'd rather see Wise vs righties and Anderson vs lefties. Wise is the best overall base runner on this team. Of course, I would have preferred Alexei in CF, Getz/Grudz at 2b, and Beckham at SS.

Russell..oh the horror. I'm telling you, Franklyn German may make this team.

And that gets rid of whatever remaining doubt that he would not be on the roster.
