AJ makes a good throw, and Alexei drops it.

This year always seemed like it could become a developmental/bridge year, unfortunately.

 

OTOH, it seems if we had someone like CoCo Crisp in CF, then we might even be the favorites to win the division...we're just a player short.

 

This is nothing new though...we've seen the same thing in Chicago for nearly a decade. It's just that the names have changed from Thomas/Lee/Ordonez/Valentin/Durham to what we have now. But same inconsistent approach, same 3 run HR offense, corpseball, whatever you wish to call it.

Difference there is that Thomas was a all-star player, Maggs and Carlos all-stars who could run, Valentin also could run and Durham could do many things. We don't have the same type of players as we did back then.

I'd like to use the excuse of "just wait until the weather gets warm" for the offense.

Even broken down more than that, the earlier core guys could hit for average. I dont think ours are going to collectively hit for much of one this year.

Meche and Greinke are pretty good pitchers. I'm not sure about Davies. I think the park also plays real big when the weather is colder, not the ideal set-up for the current White Sox roster.

If MacDougal comes in this game to lose it for us I will stomp my feet in an angry fashion.
