If Pods is there to be a 4th OF, then I agree, he's better than Owens, or Wise for that matter. But the fear is of course that he'll start over BA. I just hope that Brian gets a real shot - a month or so would do. If he flops, then he can platoon with Pods.

April 14, 200916 yr Well, certainly he will go down to Charlotte for at least a week or two. At that point, if he's healthy (relatively speaking), KW will bring him up and replace Owens...whether BA is playing well or not, Pods SHOULD come up to take the place of JO.

April 14, 200916 yr If Quentin was out, I'd understand it. The problem is that Pods is just terrible in CF, so not only are we getting a mediocre offensive player, but also a mediocre defensive player that has lost 2 steps since 2005.
