Time to put the jersey on eBay before KW realizes this isn't 2005.

Yet Willie Harris makes so much more sense!!

Isn't he on a roster? Teams are going to rape KW as they have him by the proverbial short hairs.

Cowley's twitter is great: "Podsednik was not injured during the signing process."

I may be in the minority... but... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Not because I think he can hit over .260, but because he is wayyyyyy better than Wise or Owens. I really do not want to see either of them ever again.

As Pods biggest critic, I applaude this move. He sucks, but................. He is better than Owens. He even is better than Wise. Let him get up to speed in Charlotte and when he's ready if BA hasn't taken over, let him play until he comes up lame.

I can't believe I actually like this deal.

I was a big Pods fan when he was doing .290/.350

While I loved Scotty Pods when he was playing here, I acknowledge that he was never really an ideal option. I’d still prefer BA to start every day, but I think I’m okay with this. I was just looking at my Podsednik world series uni (which I bought at the Cell almost prophetically before game 2) and I kind of went on a nostalgia kick.

Pod>Wise>Owens.

It isn't ideal, but it is an improvement.

Its a minor league contract. There is no risk involved. Pods in CF is scary, but is he worse than the statue of Ken Griffey Jr. out there last season? I would prefer a real CF signed, but the White Sox are sticking with their no money available mode. At least they are upgrading, albeit slightly, until he gets hurt.

Exactly.

Christmas come early for the fat female teenagers of Chicago.

Was this necessary?

It's been a running joke on the board for 4 years and very, very true.

Is he going to platoon in Center with BA?

Exactly.

:notworthy

Agreed that he'd be a decent 4th outfielder and might not do too much damage in CF if he's used sparingly... but you don't want him out there every day, especially with Anderson at their disposal.

Yeah, didn't think it was a big deal. It's like at a wrestling event where a certain part of the crowd worships Matt Hardy.

You're just saying that b/c Pods is white...

Right, based on that, I don't like, but at the same time do not oppose this move.

I'm aware its been brought up - still classless, IMO (specifically the fatty part). But carry on.

If he is 100% healthy and I mean 100% not 98% or 99%. Than he could do alright.

Do what you want, I just don't like it.

And I have no idea who Matt Hardy is, so, I don't even know what you are referring to there.

Oh brother...

What he said

Nothing wrong with Pods. Not my first choice, bit cheaper than trying to trade for someone I guess. He can run and he hits better than Owens and takes more walks. He is just a fill in and I trust that Brian will play the bulk of the duties in CF
