I hope that failed opportunity doesn't end up biting us later.

it won't, jose will give up a lot more runs

That was demoralizing. I'm so sick of the awful at bats Thome is giving this team. He's not even drawing walks like he used to.

His swing has definitely slowed down since last season. He's still strong enough to pop one over the LCF wall, but it just seems like he cant turn around on ANY pitches.

So frustrating to watch Jose pitch.

Barajas takes the same pitch Dye got a strike on for a ball.

Nice Jose, shadows of 05/06 right there.

The sooner he's out of the rotation and sent to the glue factory, the better.

That just wont happen overnight. Contreras is a veteran, has had proven success, has that spicey Latin pride, is emotional; you know, all the excuses that will be thrown out when he's out there game after game giving up runs.

Why in the world would you throw a 1-2 fastball to Scutaro on the inner half? Just terrible, terrible pitch calling by AJP so far this season.

Not a bad inning, let's score some runs.

BA with a bloop hit

Good base running, Brian to second on a wild pitch.

And we miss another chance to tie it up...

BA is going to bloop his way to .330. Heh.

Everyone's chasing that low curveball from Halladay

I will take that any day of the week and twice on sunday

Well, his average is going to go down because those aren't going to keep falling in. I think he can stick around .270, though.

If he keeps making contact and stays comfortable up there, he'll start hitting more line drives and hitting the gaps. He's done it before, he just never could put it all together.

Leadoff walk, good AB Josh.

Rocket right at Rios...good base running by Fields.

Stone said something about Halladay being at 55 pitches, but Gameday has him at 43 several pitches later.

True, it's asking an AWFUL lot to stay around .320, heck I'd be pumped if he hit .300 and I'd take .270.

I'm not one of the die hard Anderson supporters, I just want whoever's playing the best to be out there and right now Anderson is the best.

Thome with a great approach on the 2 strike pitch. 1st and 3rd, one out. We have to start scoring in these situations.

What the hell was that JD?

nice worthless AB jermaine.
