GameThread: White Sox(21-25) vs Royals(23-24)

Featured Replies

Royals are hitting it where it's pitched, not trying to pull everything.

So far it ain't working. Go Sox!

The sad part about Clayton is the better he pitches the better the chances he will be leaving the white sox before the end of July IMO. With Poreda coming up and Danks and Buerhle locked into the rotation I don't see use going with 4 leftys and Clayton's trade value has never been higher.

Unless Poreda plus Clayton plus more = Bedard!

If Clayton keeps showing this, I hope we stop the trade discussions.

I mean that last K was NASTY.

I like what I'm seeing from this guy, who is working fast on the mound and throwing nasty stuff.

The better Clayton pitches the more likely Poreda is gone, IMO.

Welcome to the starting rotation, Clayton Richard

I'm going to get something to eat. Might be bad luck. Go Sox!

There you go BA. Get him over and get him in. Getz should be perfectly capable of hitting a grounder to the right side.

BA with a double... and hopefully pushing Wise that much farther down the bench

I'll have a cheeseburger, thanks.

And then he pulls him right back!

terrible bunt, and terrible baserunning by brian

Even our slappy guys can't bunt. In a 4-0 game, you absolutely, positively do not bunt.

Wrong...that was great base running. Getz's inability to get the bunt down probably just cost us a run.

I like Getz. But if he can't bunt, he should be in Charlotte.

If getz gets him over there its 5-0, pick um up Pods!

How was that bad baserunning? It was a line drive bunt toward the pitcher, didn't he have to freeze?

Ozzieball!

Pods returns to the Land of Suck.

I hope that doesn't come back and bite us.

If Clayton throws 96 mph like it just said on the Royals' TV screen, why aren't we higher on him as a prospect?

That's pretty damn fast.

Clayton threw quite a few pitches in the 93mph range while in the minors... and routinely popped up around 95.

I think most fans who weren't familiar with him ignored it assuming the minor league guns were off.

We're seeing more of it now because he's getting confidence in his pitches at the major league level.

Now, if he gets confidence and consistency in his curve, which is a pretty decent pitch, things will really get interesting.

Hot damn, I'm loving Clayton right now.. LAFAYETTE PRIDE!

See seems slightly faster in right, that was not the head wind run to first

Nice catch by Dye. It's like seeing your grandma fall and hope she doesn't break her hip.
