This would be a team, assuming Rose's continued progression, that you could start talking deep run with...

Depending on what Cleveland was able to do in the offseason...that team is right there for winning the East.

If none of the big 3 come to chicago this offseason, then I'll be first on the line calling for the heads of the management.

Well, there's already a few folks in line with sleeping bags...

I would love it. Get Bosh, draft a sniper as a shooting guard (Anderson, Jones or Warren at 18, or pray Henry falls that low) sign a couple guys to the vet minimum for the bench, and call it an off-season.

My big hope is that Henry magically falls or the Bulls somehow trade up.

I'd (ugh) still hold onto Hinrich in that case...mainly as a defensive backup, but I'd go for that. Johnson and Gibson and Hinrich off the bench, that starting lineup goes 8 deep, maybe think about bringing back Miller for a small veterans contract, and then look at maybe bringing back Acie Law or something like that, and now we're 10 deep and 2 deep at every position.

Don't forget Asik who is supposed to come by in 2010 and Alexander could round out the roster.

I'm just saying the "odds" of the bulls having a good series against the Cavs is about the same as them getting a top 3 pick, in which case I'll still gamble with the pick. Our second best player has been hurt a good chunk of the year and the soon-to-be fired coach is an idiot.

Even if you throw out the last win against Cleveland, the Cavs are only 2-1 this season against Chicago, One of those losses was by 14 when the Bulls had both Hinrich and Tyrus hurt, the other loss was by 7, which included the Bulls missing Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah.

There isn't a blowout in the lot, even with the Bulls playing the Cavs twice extremely shorthanded.

I'd say the odds of the Bulls playing a solid series against Cleveland are pretty good as long as we are healthy, especially if you actually look at the Bulls body of work against Cleveland this year.

My thoughts exactly. I'll take the shot at a higher pick.

The regular season and the playoffs are different for a team like the Cavs and Lakers. They know they're going to at least be the best in their conferences and they pretty much coast through the course of the season. At most, we will get one win. The rest will probably be blowouts unless you consider being down for 15 most of the game, then losing by 8 playing a team solidly.

Also, for those that want the Bulls to get in, are you rooting for Benjamin Gordon tonight? He's averaging 23.8 PPG and 5.6 APG on 45% shooting as the starting PG since Stuckey went down and the Pistons are 2-1 in their last 3 games which were all against playoff teams.

The Cavs were second in all of the NBA with double digit wins trailing only Orlando. In other words they blew out a lot more teams that almost all of the NBA.

And they'll probably add 4 games against the Bulls to that list.

Reverse psychology. I love it.

Is there any veteran SG that might be available this offseason for something close to the MLE?

I have a feeling the Bulls are going to offer J.J Redick something close to this MLE this off-season.

I think we can still make him a qualfying offer though, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Raptors won, I was hoping they'd lose but, they didn't.

Bulls need to beat Boston tomorrow.

He would be a great fit. They need a shooter bad.

An MRI on Brandon Roy's right knee reveals slight meniscus tear. Roy will miss the final two regular season games and is day-to-day for playoffs.

"I will have surgery, it's just a matter of when."

Roy plans on having surgery in the offseason.

"I don't know right now," said Roy when asked about the playoffs. "I want to play. If I do play I want to play at a level I can help."

BTW, one West matchup is now set. #1 Lakers vs #8 Thunder.

It amazes me that a 50 win team like OKC is the freaking 8th seed...

That's going to be my upset prediction for the playoffs, the Thunder to knock off the Lakers.

If Sefolosha can do a decent job on Kobe, I think the Lakers are there for the taking. I know they'll pick it up for the playoffs, but I just don't like the way they've played at all for the past 20 games.

I can't see it, but it wouldn't exactly "surprise" me either. Thunder are a young, hungry team, and usually young teams don't know any better in the playoffs. Plus the Lakers won't be just ass-raping a usual 8 seed. The Thunder have a legit superstar in Kevin Durant. I can't them upsetting the Lakers (Lakers beat them 3/4 times in the reg. season, though I know that's the regular season), but it won't be the usual 4 game series for the Lakers either. I can easily see this series going 6-7 games.

Of course this is assuming Durant has a good playoff series.

Artest could easily shut him down.

Don't forget that Bynum will probably not be 100% for the Lakers.

The Thunder's future is ridiculous. Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden, Ibaka, Maynor, Mullens and two 1st round picks this year. :o

He's not fast enough to keep up with Durant. They are better off putting Kobe on him.

He never is.

the Thunder could give them problems, but experience is on the side of the Lakers and I think they will advance. That said, a Thunder upset would rock.

I can't see the Thunder getting more than 2 personally. Gasol should have a monster series considering that OKC doesn't have a decent center and Green plays the 4. Also, I think Westbrook and/or Durant (more likely Westbrook, but I wouldn't put it past Durant in his first playoff series either) shoot them out of at least 2 games down the stretch.

On TV, apparently after the loss to the Suns Pax shoved Vinny and challenged him to a fight over the number of minutes for Noah.

Wonderful.
