There are indeed computers for blind people, in fact it may make some things, like shopping, easier.

Okay, how many blind people do you see go shopping by themselves on a regular basis? The fact that they can't tell the difference between a 1 and a 5 is the least of their problems.

I see blind people walking around downtown every day. Chances are they purchase things at some point.

braille keyboard, words get read by the robot guy?

And while they may purchase things, don't you think they might use a credit card to make it easier on themselves, not only with bills but also with change?

I see blind people every day by themselves.

Can you put your credit card in a CTA bus?

What about when you pay to get on the el?

What about if they want a coke out of a vending machine?

They should be able to use money just as easily as you or I.

No, but there are these new things called bus cards which are a lot easier to use than money

What about when you pay to get on the el?

Again, aren't there cards you can use?

How are they suppossed to know how much to put in or which one is coke? Do vending machines have braille, I haven't noticed? Also, wouldn't changing all the systems that accept dollar bills to accept completely different bills of different sizes be a pretty lengthy and costly task? Might just be easier to carry a role of quarters with you.

I don't disagree, but the sad truth is that their blind. No matter what, handling money for non-blind people will likely be easier than it is for most blind people.

Technically almost every computer is, because they have the notches on the F and J keys to denote where to place your fingers for homerow.

Man does that ever go out the window when I'm f***ed up.

I remember when the notches were on the D and K. My have times changed, haha.

As much as I don't like the idea of having different sized bills, it would definately help blind people out and I'm all for that. Putting braille on bills would probably wear off over time and they'd be back in the same situation as they are now.

For the record, I was joking when I suggested that different sized bills would be some type of inconvience. I definitely think there should be some changes made to assist the blind when dealing with paper currency.

Not trying to be a dick, but, how would they know what they were buying or how much it was to begin with?

One man that I can think of. Has a cool dog with small saddlebags to hold a few items. He has his money folded differently for each denomination. Of course someone has to help him at home with that. He also uses the ATM, knowing it dispenses $20s.

He works across the street at the University. He once claimed he wanted to skydive, but it would scare the s*** out of his dog. :)

The issue is...just making the bills different sizes is going to be a cheaper option in almost every case.

I question that conclusion. What will the cost be to reconfigure all the ATM and vending machines that currently accept paper currency? It may be cheaper than reconfiguring for color, but I am not certain.

Get rid of all of it.

Exactly, just give us the Euros and get it over with.

That would definitely cause supply problems for the spray paint industry. That thing you hear rattling around in the can when you shake it is a kid's tooth you know. At least that's what Bart Simpson says.

My dad used to tell me the same thing. He also told me native americans were cannibals and if I didn't shut the f*** up he would drop my ass at the nearest casino. I should have tested him.
