If PK would have started to go towards 1b, and Buehrle lobbed it over, you could get away with it. Just a stupid play though, and someone missed a sign.

That's probably right as well as the blind spot theory. McCarver said the play was right in front of Mark and that was an unusual mistake for a lefty. Brain cramp on a hot day I guess.

I really think Konerko screwed up. Usually when you are using the day light play, the sign to throw the ball is the open mitt. PK opened his mitt really wide as Buehrle was looking over there, and then Burls stepped off.
