Would anyone sign him for $4-6 million for the 2010 season (with maybe 50% of the contract coming via incentives)?

If he keeps this up the rest of the year, he'll get more than that.

hopefully he does keep it up but i wouldnt take him next year either

Thome really struggling there LOL

Filthy swing by PK there. Time for Castro to do something on the offensive end to earn his jersey.

pauley base hit runners 1st and 3rd one out with castro up.....

This is where Beckham should be hitting....

Where did that come from?

CASTRO! Welcome to the White Sox

Or we can deal with that lol

3 run hr bout time! 4-1 whitesox :gosoxretro:

Castro is a good acquisition by Kenny. Totally overlooked. Lance is nothing.

Wow that just happen... Castro HR 4-1

Well done sir

nix with a double!

This team is pretty good right now.

But isn't Jose a much better option than Glavine/Mulder/Schmidt/Colon/Penny/Smoltz/Pavano type pitchers as a #5???

Now if we're going to spend money, it would be great to have another frontline starter, but there aren't very many Peavy's out there, and we would have been in even more trouble for 2009 had that trade been agreed to...with Richard out of the rotation, no Poreda and god knows who else (the other two) missing from our minor league depth chart.

Thanks KW, your Castro signing is finally paying off with him hovering around the .100 mark.

Corky Miller was never going to homer...that's his second now with the Sox.

Would anyone dare go after Edwin Jackson as a FA??? Or is he going to have a difficult time sustaining this year's success...not unlike signing Beltre after his huge season in LA.

Nix really puts a hell of a swing on every pitch he sees from LHP.

Seems like Beckham might get the last shot at this guy today. Make it count.

Not to get into this again, but isn't it amazing how a lineup looks a lot tougher with Lillibridge and Corky Miller not in it, and Fields on the bench?

i take it back, ramon

In '07 Castro had 11 HR in 144 at-bats ?!

And you do have to give Reinsdorf credit for allowing Williams to add a couple more million to the payroll.

That's the type of trade the Twins can never make in mid-season historically, where they add salary.

Hey! Castro finally stopped sucking!

And Beckham continues...

beckham with another hit and rbi 5-1 chicago!
