I don't think the Sox want to mess with that right now. It would be the smart decision in the short run, but it seems like the Sox want him to get reps at 3rd right now.

 

If this was a video game, I would put Beckham at SS and play either Fields or Nix at 3B. Unfortunately, it's not.

He was fielding a ball in the 8th inning and at the least jammed one of his fingers. Maybe worse. They took him out immediately.

Something wrong with his middle finger. Stone said it might have been because the ball hit him there while he was trying to field a grounder.

Oddly enough, if there's one spot the Sox can afford an injury it's to the middle infield. Hopefully Alexei didn't break the tip of his finger, but it looks that way. I'd guess he might be gone up to a month if that's the case.

 

I really think we can weather the storm by moving Slayer up to the 2-spot.

Alexei has a bad case of being outstanding. Real bad.

If it's anywhere close to a DL stint for Alexei, I want Fields at 3rd and Beckham at SS.

If Lexi is out a long time, we have to realilze it's not our year because of fate.

His heating up really helped turn this team around.

If he's out I say we still need grinder Getz in the lineup. So it's Nix at ss; beckham at 3b and getz at 2b.

Alexei Ramirez has a jammed/slightly bruised finger on his right hand. He's feeling better but Ozzie isn't sure about playing him tmrw.
