I think Poreda gets the next start

Remember who the coach is. He has at least 4 to 5 more starts of this type of crap before he even considers making a change. Poreda is basically an invisible player, and should be in AAA getting innings instead of being up here to perpetually warm up.

Thats the second time ive seen pods run into the bullpen when we make a pitching change...whats he doing? going to the bathroom?

They said in the pregame that he has a baby monitor in the bullpen so he can check on his baby.

We gotta move Alexei from SS. Baseball 101, you knock the ball down, period. There was no reason why Alexei shouldn't have laid out to stop that ball, and if he dives, he most likely keeps that ball in the infield. Terrible.

Get Richard out of thr rotation, please.

When Richard was doing well, wasn't his fastball popping?

What's happened to his arm strength? Does that develop as you get used to being a big league pitcher?

I guess it makes too much sense to give Richard a mental and physical break and let Poreda get the spot start.

Ozzie already said he is willing to have Richard go through the growing pains this year, so he can get a Danks or Floyd type return the following year.

Royals' gun always has been 2-3 MPH fast. I think it dates back to the MacDougal days when he was routinely throwing a legit 97-99...fans love to see that 100-101 on the board, just like Tigers' fans with Zumaya.

Clayton has been a legit 92-95 this season, sometimes touching 96.

False. Stop spreading misinformation as if it were fact.

I love the Royals powder blues.

They took a while to grow on me, wish they wore them on the road instead of at home...

We are 2 and 31 when losing in the 6th inning. So we either needs to turn around a season long issue, or score some runs this inning.

He pretty much pitched with max velocity in the first two innings, then he wore himself out. By the 4th inning he just didn't have it in him to continue at that original velocity. He needs to stick with his 92-93 stuff for the majority of the game, then max himself out in his last inning.

I understand that, but it's stupid not to give Poreda a spot start while we give Richard a mental and physical break, I think he needs one.

I guess we can celebrate Scott Linebrinks new found 97 mph fastball. Woo Hoo.

You know what's irritating, and it's that we all knew Poreda wouldn't find any consistent work, yet the entire "Oh, Buehrle and Garland were bullpen pitchers before they were starters" people began to resurrect an old argument. We had the SAME EXACT discussion with McCarthy.

It's really simple -- our pitchers consistently last into the 7th inning. By then, it'll be handed over to the bullpen. Additionally, Carrasco will typically be the first long reliever out the of the bullpen if situations such as today arise.

With Guillen, Poreda just isn't going to find consistent time to pitch. And yes, I'm sure he's having side sessions with Cooper. But he needs to find work, and not find himself more than a week between appearances. That's just ridiculous.

This isn't going very well.

What I'm asking if he maxed himself out so quickly, is that something that will improve in time as he learns to pitch in the bigs?

We have like 5 rocket outs today, and KC has so many cheap hits. Very deflating.

I really think it is at least 2 mph fast. Either that, or KC has been putting something in the water.

As for the powder blues, not a big fan. I think the Royals should go with a complete overhaul of their current logos and uniforms, and start up a new look. Maybe throw a crown onto the hat.

We need to be taking advantage of Minny beating up on the Tigers, when we play teams like the Royals.

It's not likely he's going to be a 95 mph fastball starting pitcher in the majors. KW absolutely has my blessings to use Richard in a trade package.

We can't b**** about that decent catch in lf, considering KC gave us our second run.

It'd be nice to come back and win three of four against the powder blues.

I only got home an inning ago but this is already beyond frustrating.

KC at least understands about holding a team from scoring after they score, something the Sox have not done all year!

I'm surprised Hawk knows what a text message is.

Everytime it looks like we are finally finding our stride and breaking out, we revert back to our old sucky selves.

I know one thing, I'll be extremely pissed if this team just hangs in mediocrity and we do nothing at the deadline. Either play like contenders, or play like the bad team we are. This middle ground s*** is only gonna hurt us in the long run.
