Great night by Huet, maybe his best of the year. Too bad the offense was piss poor all night.

Nice to see Kane get hacked/held in that last flurry and have absolutely nothing called. He was HOT after that. s***y no-call.

I'm sure it will get better when Hossa returns, the PP seemed touch and go whenever Havlat would be out as well.

Having Toews back will help too.

Kane and that Hjalmarsson kid were really good. Too bad they (esp. Kane) got no help.

Kane needs to be on a skilled line. Being out there with Madden just doesn't work.

I still think the PP is run too much through the point. At times, especially on Hawks 5-3's, there just seems to be way to much standing around, and not enough cycling.

That's a John Torchetti special. They like the D-men to throw it at the net and hope for a putback. Hopefully that changes when Toews and Hossa get out there.

hey sorry if this is redundant/has been covered, whats the eta on toews? Is it kind of up in the air?

With a concussion, it is totally up in the air. Usually the rule of thumb is two day without symptoms for everyday they do have them, but with the NHL rules the way that they are, the public has no real idea of what exactly is going on.

Yup, it's the classic "out indefinitely".

Hawks have a ton of shooters and no scorers. Brent Sopel is a good defenseman but has no offensive ability at all.

Campbell seems to be getting back to his old self as well.

Madden and Kopecky ae really not doing much either.

Jenks Heat, do you only post when the Hawks lose?

I find it funny that you're never around when they're winning.

You have been here for all of two posts, with all due respect, how the heck would you know his posting habits???

Possibly a long time lurker....

Not a bad period, but Ladd getting run was crap. He didn't leave his feet, he got knocked off balance.

What a s***ty way to end the period. Camp blocks a shot right to Camillieri, then Huet doesn't hug the post with Moen behind the net. Tie game, when it should be a blow out at this point.

I guess I am just an asshole that way, oh well.

Huet looks good and Campbell a -2 in the last 4 minutes of the period.

This team again is proving that shots are not the problem, goals are.

Kane with a scorer on his line is sick.

Nice finish, man is Kane carrying this team right now.

They got the job done in the end, which is all you can ask for really.

If we can play the way we have been playing without Toews and Hossa, it's going to setup our season nicely, which it has so far.

Hawks have had quite a few injuries early. It will be nice to see what they can do at full strength.

I'd make a case that we are really missing guys like Eager and Burish too, because teams are really taking liberties with us.

Just go tickets for the November 11th game (Bobby Hull Heritage Night) on Ebay and I can't wait to go. First game of the year for me this year.

The comments from teammates after the game were almost better than the costumes.
