July 21, 200916 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 12:09 AM) Gio Gonzalez finally having a positive impact for the Sox. And that was?
July 21, 200916 yr QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 12:11 AM) negative actually, 11 earned runs in 2.2 inning pitched. OUCH! QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 12:12 AM) And that was? I'm losing it tonight. I just rethought what I just typed and realized it made no sense. Just disregard that post altogether.
July 21, 200916 yr Author QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 10:17 PM) Is this on TV? http://atdhe.net/watch-baseball.php?i=12 try that
July 21, 200916 yr Gio gave up the Thome special to Morneau. A 3 run shot & a slam. He gave up 11 of the Twins runs. Kudos to Oakland's pen for 6 1/3 innings of 1 run ball.
July 21, 200916 yr Cuddyer was very much safe. Terrible call. For anyone who didn't see it: Top 9, A's by 1. 1st and 2nd, 2 out, cuddyer at 2B. Wuertz throws a wild pitch that bounces off Kurt Suzuki and up in the air, the ball lands behind him but he can't find it, Cuddyer is racing around 3B and Suzuki finds it, throws home and Cuddyer was called out. Game over.
July 21, 200916 yr That's normally a way the Sox would lose to the Twins in the trashbag dome. Nice to see them get a bit of their own medicine. Congrats A's.
July 21, 200916 yr What a great night, have both Morenau and Cuddayer on my Fantasy Team, they score me 60 points and Twins still lose!
July 21, 200916 yr I can't believe the Twins choked that lead. My goodness. Edited July 21, 200916 yr by SoxAce
July 21, 200916 yr QUOTE (stretchstretch @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 01:03 AM) Just saw the final here on the left coast.....holy sh*t 7run 7th seals it BAD call by the ump in the 9th seals it. Cuddayer was safe at home, but hey, I'll gladly take it.
July 21, 200916 yr Bad call at home. The ball got there in time, but it didn't appear the tag was made until Kubel had already scored. Don't blow a 10-run lead and you don't have to worry about blown calls.
July 21, 200916 yr Getting late so i'll make it short: saw the Holliday slam, knew i'd be sleeping easy tonight. With that i'm off....
July 21, 200916 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 12:40 AM) Cuddyer was very much safe. Game over. Freeze frame showed that Wuertz might of had the tag down. You can debate whether or not he actually tagged him there, but the ball clearly beat him. Regardless if he was safe or not, you don't give up a 10 run lead to the Oakland A's. Their offense BLOWS. Another great thing that came out of this one was that Matt Holliday got me 22 fantasy points. Edited July 21, 200916 yr by chw42
July 21, 200916 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 09:55 AM) Freeze frame showed that Wuertz might of had the tag down. Another great thing that came out of this one was that Matt Holliday got me 22 fantasy points. Different camera angle shows he missed him. From 1st base dugout camera...check it out on ESPN.com. Still...too bad, you are going to get bad calls. Here's an idea: don't blow a 10-run lead. The only thing I have to say to this is: HA!
