BA forever!!! That catch in the Blackout game will live on forever

I'll always remember him for 3 things:

His celebration of Pods' walk-off in Game 2 of the WS.

His dominance of Felix Hernandez in Seattle.

His catch in 163.

Who goes down? Fields? Kotsay is pretty much a UTL IF at this point.

Nix is out of options and Fields has one left. I don't see either of those guys moving.

Kotsay most likely replaces Wise in CF. Thanks for the perfect game catch last week, Dewayne.

Fields will be traded next, Kotsay will take his place as backup 1b

On any other team I would agree... but on the White Sox... Kotsay might be the best defensive OF we have now that Brian is gone. Even with his bad back, knees, etc.

Kotsay's not the same guy he was 2-3 years ago on defense. He was terrible on D this year in the outfield.

Been swell, BA, Good Luck in Boston.

Kotsay will replace Fields as he can play first and the OF.

He also would lead-off if Podsednik gets hurt or needs a day off which will probably happen soon as he has not had one.

I hope that BA survives enough in baseball to prove Ozzie wrong about him.

I also hope the he grows up enough to keep his teammates from wanting to kick his ass.

Then he'll fit right in with the rest of our outfield! :lolhitting

Seriously, though, that didn't stop Griffey from starting in CF last summer, or Pods playing there for the past month, or Mackowiak playing there three Augusts ago...

Wise started 2 in a row for Pods in Detroit after the Perfecto...

Was Kotsay in the big leagues for the Red Sox? So we'll need to clear a 25 man spot for him?

If Fields is the next one to guy (which might be the case now) that means we would've unloaded 3 of our draft pick busts in a span of 2 months.

That was a game off, not a day off.

Great the Sox play Boston soon. If Anderson is up he will lite up the Sox no doubt about that.

The sad thing is Anderson would have helped with the defense in CF and the post season as there is no need to carry 12 pitchers and he could have replaced one of them for the playoffs.

Not a good move in my mind as organizationally the Sox are that much thinner should something happen to Quentin or Podsednik.

He was DFA to make room for LaRoche.

Plus his wife comes with him. Yes!!!!

Jeez. Same here. I could probably add one more though: generally sucking.

Another first round bust hits the road.

Kotsay was DFA'd when the Red Sox got LaRoche.

A bag of baseballs would have been more sufficient.

Nah, a bag of gloves but no bats.

LOL ok? For some reason, I am not worried at all.

So can we send him to AAA or does he take a 25 man roster spot?

Kind of disappointed this means the end of Fields instead of Wise. Not that I like Fields, I just especially don't like Wise on this team. A shame Kotsay can't play OF anymore.

Mrs. Podsednik, meet Mrs. Kotsay.

Fields has plenty of options left and hopefully we're not totally writing him off yet. I'd like to see him swinging the bat everyday in AAA for at least a few weeks.
