Well at least we've got Kotsay.

I can't believe I wasted all this time waiting and waiting....for well nothing. I love this time of year but it drives me crazy waiting for something.....well I stand corrected...nice work getting Peavy!

Answer to thread title: yes.

Jimbo needs to eat crow.

I was off on thinking the Peavy thing was a farce, I'm still surprised SD took this deal!

While I don't doubt they texted KW, I'd be absolutely shocked if KW was serious about needing ideas. I'd also be shocked if he doesn't have about 10 balloons in the air right now. The problem is it takes 2 to tango, so while you might have the means to take on salary and might have some prospects to trade, the other guy could always say no. I read somewhere where Toronto wasn't interested in any of the White Sox prospects for Halladay. They wanted Danks and Floyd.

Kenny was just on MLBNetwork, he confirmed there was one time they were completely all out of ideas and that he called them up to solicit ideas

I went with "Yes, for a big impact player" :gosoxretro:

I agree 11% ticket increase and this is what is added to a .500 team!

Nice.

At the time he texted Reynolds, the Peavy trade was being made. So KW was playing with them.

My point is you shot off your mouth with no idea what was going on.
