Remembering Dye before he signed his last contract. Did he not just mope around and then after he signed he got out of his funk. Presently, with him doing as bad as he is in the second half perhaps 500,000 a year for a two year deal with incentives. The last time before he got his last contract he was hitting just like he is now. To his credit he can really blister the ball when he knows where he'll be and that the checks will be coming . I'm like that but to a much smaller scale 1/1000th.

That sounds like quite the risk to take, giving Dye a contract (one that he'll take as an insult at 500K, even with incentives) because after his last one he miraculously came out of his slump.

"suicide shrug"?

is Bacon losing his faith in this "team"?

I am so an advocate of surrounding Bacon with his teammates from Charlotte and Birmingham. Most of our vets can just take a hike.

Great start, guys.

Dye sitting this one out,I hope to God

we are facing a rookie pitcher we've never faced before...oh boy

2 strikes on Jim, 3 straight balls in the dirt. Gee...wonder what the book is on him!

way to make em pay JT

I love Hawk's silence when Stone mentioned MacDougal doing well, it bugs me a little too, but I guess a move to the National League is good for any pitcher.

K followed by a DP?

let's get some runs

brush those flowing locks, Carlos.

triple play?

Hopefully we get at least 1 run out of all of this. I won't hold my breath.

So.. do we hit Youkilis now and risk a brawl?

Yay. GIDP now?

YAYson Nix.

First big hit in about 14 days. 'Bout f***ing time.

way to go nix!

2 big hits in a row? If we do it consistently I believe it is what they call an offense!
