Another quick and easy inning for Dempster. Throws meatballs, but we cant hit it.

I don't agree with that. His ball is moving all over the place. Plus he is getting both a wide and a high plate. Couple that with the wind blowing in today and it's a pitcher's day out there.

Its sad that (1) Pods is one of our better hitters and (2) he's always up with 2 outs and no one on. Gotta love that production from the bottom third.

And if you remember, about 5 weeks ago when we were actually playing well, we were getting great production out of the bottom of our order.

 

I think it may be time to switch back Alexei and Gordo in the lineup.

I don't for one second believe CQ had a fluke year in 08,the man has real talent and I believe he'll come back strong in 2010 as long as he stays injury free.

Had class during the first part of the game. Is this start a product of a bad cubs offense or is torres pitching really well today? I see he has no walks. That makes me think its the latter.
