I give him leeway cause he isn't ready to handle the bat, but getting down a bunt isn't like hitting a homerun, its something anyone can do if they practice. NL pitchers, who get little batting practice and many fewer at bats get bunts down. Buerhle got a bunt down against the Flubs if I recall correctly. I think he's laid down a couple of bunts this year for basehits and attempts to do it once in a while. DJ was talking about how its alot easier to time a bunt if you do it that way instead of square around early.
