his OPS vs lefties is extremely good though. I don't mind him getting that many at bats vs a lefty.

Kotsay could have hit a homer in every at bat in the past two games. Ozzie's loyalty would have still resulted in Dye being in the lineup instead of him.

Just looked at the comparison between Getz and Beckham season stats. They're pretty close in at-bats right now. Thought it was interesting.

You want to see something really interesting, compare Getz and Pods' stats. Then wonder why many want Pods back with an inflated salary to DH and think Getz is garbage.

And when you look at these split stats for Getz, what do they suggest?

 

 

Seems to me the best time to play him is:

- Against lefties

- At home

- During the day

 

So... why are we resting him?

 

(BTW, Nix's splits suggest he hits better... on the road... and at-night.)

I can't decide if Pods is lucky or just realizing how to best maximize his stay in the major leagues by focusing on his strengths.

Pods with the intentional swinging bunt hit to lead off. Nix walks.
