pena in - should be able to make their flight after all

Any chance Rios gets traded this offseason?

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 08:32 PM)
Guillen oughta bench Dye and Rios for the rest of the year and play Wise and Kotsay everyday.

Why is Getz not trying to steal every time he gets on?

He also should have Thornton close, but that doesn't look like it will happen.

Is anybody else watching on mlb.tv having issues getting a better quality picture?

I hope you are not getting confused by the quality picture vs. quality of the team.

The bottom of this inning should just about be enough to end the Sox season.

They got me interested again....actually the horses*** play of the Tigers did.

I believe more and more everyday that the Rios move will be looked back upon as one of the 3 worst personnel moves in White Sox history someday.

our todd hundley

Please white sox, if you blow it, let it be somebody else than Tony Pena. We will already be hearing it about Rios from greg. We don't need to double the trouble and see extra complaining about Pena.

I think we over rate Thornton. He has one pitch.

pena has a heavy ball

It's been a long time since Mike Sweeney beat us.

Rios is in Soriano territory right now. I mean, his contract is nowhere near as expensive, but it's long and nobody would ever be stupid enough to take it (well, except us of course).

sox killer at the plate...

How is that different from Jenks?

About the same as Mila Kunis coming over to my house tonight.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 07:31 PM)
I disagree, I think that Rios just needs time to clear his head and will be key to the White Sox resurgence next year.

Some times you have the pieces but it just takes a year for them to gel.

I hope so. 5 XBH's in over 100 AB with 25 K's.

A -12.6 VORP (before tonight) which is 7th worst in all of baseball.

Don't worry. I'm trying to stop beating a dead horse.

I just want to win and it looks like we may not again tonight.

I think he's the 2nd coming of McDougal. Million dollar arm, 10 cent brain.

He will probably blow this game after 2 out and a 0-2 count.

I just turned on the game. I assume this one's on Bobby.

The Sox arent trading Rios.

1) If Toronto could have gotten anything for him they would have.

2) The Sox (unlike their fans) generally dont just throw a player away after 1 bad season. They understand that players have good seasons and bad seasons, and not every player is slump proof.

Rios is a major part of the Sox future, regardless of how many board experts disagree.

I think we over rate Thornton. He has one pitch.

I don't care how many pitches he has, he gets the job done. His ERA and WHIP are a lot better than Jenks. What is the big difference in pitching in the 8th and 9th inning? I really don't see it.

But I think that he shouldn't be a closer. He is too valuable to be a closer. It is harder to come in with men on base and get men out than it is to come in with nobody on base. Thornton can do both of those.

As Hawk would say, "What new?"

I [heart] Beckham. His defense has improved a lot in just the last month to six weeks. Hopefully that is a good sign.

12th inning.

Why not plate 2-3 runs??
