I felt the need to be the one who announced the Peavy game.

Here's hoping for a good, healthy outing from him.

Dusty Hughes?!?!

Did they make that guy up?

Well, here comes another shutout.

Who the hell is Dusty Hughes?

Precisely my thought. Poor Peavy, we're probably getting no hit tonight.

They may as well throw their minor league pitchers against us... we can't hit em.

Seriously, i know A LOT of minor league pitchers, but i have never heard of Dusty Hughes. I think i'll go look him up.

Crazy that my cousin picked one date out of the blue for us a few months back. It was this game. Whooo!

Bingo. Hughes' BB/9 in the Minors was 3.5, his K's were around 7/per 9. Hopefully, we've scouted this kid, and won't be torn to pieces.

All America will know him after he no-hits the punchless Sox tonight :lolhitting

Only the Sox can find a way to be shutout when its Peavy vs Dusty Hughes

robinventura23,that is one ugly list that is just getting bigger and bigger.

This team mailed it in,they don't care so I don't care either...I'm going to watch just to see Peavy pitch and fully expect us to lose, that way if we miraculously win or don't get shut out by Cy Hughes,I'll be grateful.

Just wondering, these game threads have been getting smaller, yesterday there were only 6 pages...any idea what is the smallest game thread ever?

If I had to guess I would say 3 pages.

Jayson Nix leading off. A guy owed $60 million hitting 8th and a DH batting 9th. You don't see that everyday.

Peavy is a beast in The Show, so lets hope that translates well!

I'd like to see Dye batting 7th or 8th before this season is done. I know 9th is unrealistic, if only for his 'veteran pride,' but I'd like to see him continue to look terrible and embarrass himself. If we're going to play him consistently, despite his inability to field or hit (and him having NO place in our future plans), may as well get some comedy out of it.

Gives me more reason to watch the game tonight.

The odds of us beating Dusty Hughes are not good.

Unknown pitcher ... means trouble. Is he related to Dusty Springfield or Dusty Rhodes?

Our hitters need to get down n dirty against Dusty.

Nice first batter for Peavy, great way to start out.

Lol, wow. Filthy. That's all I can say.

Peavy just owned the Royals. 2 K's, a flyout to center. Both on nasty pitches.

2 K's in his first White Sox inning.

Well, that was a pleasant first inning to say the least.

Poor kid, making your debut against Peavy in a game like this must be a drag.
