December 15, 200916 yr This has been the offseason of long rumored "to be traded/signed with the White Sox." First it was Omar Vizquel. Then Andruw Jones. Now it's Juan Pierre. Who's next of the yearly list?
December 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (striker @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) Eric Byrnes 1. Former Moneyball Player 2. Has Swagger
December 15, 200916 yr Not to get people riled up, but haven't the sox been rumored to be interested in Gonzalez for more than a few years now?
December 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 09:02 PM) 3. A .663 OPS last season 4. Huge concerns about what caused his huge dropoff in production and freak injuries
December 15, 200916 yr Author QUOTE (Mattchoo @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) Not to get people riled up, but haven't the sox been rumored to be interested in Gonzalez for more than a few years now? I think I saw a Juan Gonzalez rumor on here before....
December 15, 200916 yr I hate to say it, but who did KW talk about right around the winter meetings as if he was great? Yep, Milton Bradley
December 15, 200916 yr I hate to say it, but who did KW talk about right around the winter meetings as if he was great? Yep, Milton Bradley If they could keep Ozzie from ever talking to him, it would be ok. He's at least a run producer. Otherwise, expect fisticuffs. Anyway, since Kenny is acquiring all of these bad players he's wanted forever, I'm going with Joey Gathright. After all, the only thing better than one guy at the top of the order who can't get on base is two of them.
December 15, 200916 yr Who did KW deal for in 2006 only to have it turned down at the last moment? That's right, our DH next year is Soriano.

December 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 04:36 PM) Who did KW deal for in 2006 only to have it turned down at the last moment? That's right, our DH next year is Soriano. ALFONSO Soriano? HAHAHAHA!!!!! No. Well, unless the cubs wanted to send a bazillion dollars with him to cover his contract. But then doesn't he have a no trade clause? Well he would turn it down because he thinks he can still play in the outfield. Heck, I bet he still thinks he can play 2nd base!
December 15, 200916 yr Blue Jays already signed him That doesn't mean we can't trade away all of our minor-league pitching for him.
December 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (monomach @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 04:45 PM) That doesn't mean we can't trade away all of our minor-league pitching for him. yes it does
December 16, 200916 yr QUOTE (b-Rye @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 02:49 PM) Darin Erstad or Garrett Anderson. This one actually wouldn't be all that surprising. Brian Giles is another one of Kenny's long-time favorites. Kenny would get a kick out of those two battling each other for his affections.
December 16, 200916 yr QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 09:39 PM) This has been the offseason of long rumored "to be traded/signed with the White Sox." First it was Omar Vizquel. Then Andruw Jones. Now it's Juan Pierre. Who's next of the yearly list? Exactly. We get them in their declining years and hope they have some gas left in the tank, but we have liked them for many years
December 16, 200916 yr QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 06:43 PM) This one actually wouldn't be all that surprising. Brian Giles is another one of Kenny's long-time favorites. Kenny would get a kick out of those two battling each other for his affections. I wish Brian Giles weren't toast, otherwise he might have been an interesting option for the leadoff spot.
