Newton usually runs tougher, and both of these teams weakness seems to be lining up and pounding the ball.

Hopefully the sloppiness of this game forces the BCS to shorten the time between the last regular season game and the national championship.

Ref picked the Auburn player.

They need to get outside, straight option or swing pass. But you cant keep doing the zone read.

They went outside, and it worked.

Awesome play call on the 2 pt conv. Let's see what you got, Mr. Heisman.

Auburn had so many chances to put this game away, now its tied. It hasn't been a well played game, but at least the end will be entertaining.

Yep shovel pass is basically an inverted option. Unlike the old school Nebraska option you cant really run the triple option as effectively from the spread, so you have to decide to attack the edge or the middle.

And last quarter has been interesting.

I don't think he was down. Neither elbow or knee.

Are they going to count his wrist as down?

Only call you could make there (to overturn).

His wrist was down, according to the Sugar Bowl refs.

Bulls*** call, his wrist was down. By rule he is down.

Dangit, come on mess up Aurburn!

It wasnt irrefutable. I think that his wrist may have been down, but from the angles they had it wasnt clear enough. Thats why they said the call stands instead of confirmed.

I feel like we were robbed for some reason.

This game was boring in the second half and could have turned into something great in OT.

Where were the Oregon defenders up the middle on that play? Did they really think Auburn was going to do anything but set up for the FG?

I have a strange feeling about this field goal. So close you just see some funny things.

Those that had Auburn +1.5 in the 2nd half have got to be pissed.

noooooooooooooo

Well, looks like the 2010-2011 Championship will be vacated in a few years.

I'm putting the over under at 2 years until this championship is vacated

I take the over. I'll go with the 5-6 year range.

And talk about an anti-climactic ending.
