Sox in Tucson the next couple days.

Looks like our opening day batting order. Hope it gets results today.

Beckham scratched with tightness in his side. Day-to-day.

Is Rios still out?

Is Rios still out?

He played yesterday and went 1/3.

I don't want AJ batting 5th. I'd rahter have Kotsay bat 5th.

Justin Upton with a 3 run HR off of Garcia. Sox being shut out by Edwin Jackson through 3.

Sweaty Freddy getting smacked around a little. Paulie with 2 hits. Andruw with a single.

Down 4-0 already. This ST has been pretty ugly for the most part.

Juan Pierre with an assist.

Threw a runner out at second.

Freddy:

5 Inn, 11 hits, 7 runs, 1 BB, 3 K

I think that's enough for the day.

three strikeouts, allllllllllright

I'm not a big believer in spring training stats, but the starting pitching has been getting smacked around pretty good lately. I don't like it, especially as we near the end of the spring.

I think we'll be lucky if our starters have ERAs under 5! Look at their ST eras!!!!!!

Well, our offense looks like it's going to meet expectations.

Peavy's last start where he gave up 6 earned, he threw nothing but fastballs because it was against a division opponent. Danks has been alternating which pitches he's been throwing in which innings (i noticed one was 80% breaking balls...he didn't happen to get hurt on that one). I imagine if that's how those 2 are working, Buehrle and Floyd are probably doing something similar. You really can't take anything away from the end results, you have to see every pitch (which I haven't).

That is gonna be said alot this year.

That is gonna be said alot this year.

I already whined about the pitching, but the offense took another day off. Kinda frustrating eventhough it is only ST. We have that cold weather for a month or two and man that could really be bad for the hitting if they are not showing any consistancy in the warm weather.
