Love that versatility.

I rather have him strikeout and see what Alex can do with bases loaded.

Damn it.

I still love how you don't get the RBI if you GIDP.

Well if rios was paying attention, he saw everything Laffey has.

why not ph Jones there?

carmona caught eating a boog

I don't know what you mean by approach, Thunder.

He was going against a lefty and making contact.

Kotsay really wants to hit the ball into the ground. Just can't get it fair.

Maybe Kotsay should understand that hitting it on the ground is not the best thing, especially when that's EXACTLY what the pitcher wants you to do.

pitch-hit for the DH? That means we lose him.

Too early in the game to be yanking veteran players.

No, it doesn't.

He wasn't trying to elevate the ball at all. He was literally pounding it into the ground.

Why do I get the impression that Kotsay is the new Erstad, someone that Hawk will go on and on about how glad he's here etc no matter what he does?

No, it doesn't.

Since when?

With Andruw Jones sitting on the bench.

OK. I can buy that argument, Bolt.

A little lofted fly ball woulda been nice.

Bases loaded and only one run. Fail.

In this case, the "versatility" failed us, not the big guys who strike out.

Always. You only lose the DH if he goes into the field later.

Dude, i just looked it up and i think you might be right. Good call, Balta. I seriously never knew that.

i dont get it, unless you are going to move Kotsay to 1B in the 8th/9th inning for Paulie?

you've got a bench full of players who can technically play Kotsay's position.

I think it's dumb to be talking about Andrew Jones being available to pinch hit there.

That's stupid. We're winning 4-0 and it's early in the game and you don't yank starters that early.

This isn't college baseball. The pinch-hitter can stay in the game as the new DH.

You'd think Ozzie would actually put him in, but I guess it was too early in the game.
