just f***ing wow

Have no fear, Peavy will give the run right back. I've never seen him look this bad in the majors. He's getting none of his lower body into the pitch.

Damn Peavy....feel free to not give up runs everytime we score.

So after watching Peavy the last two starts and looking at video from last year. Check out his follow through this year. Last year, he looked like he was just about to fall off the mound and then would fall into fielding position. This year he is more controlled at the end. I wonder if that buggy whip at the end was part of his mechanism to get more torque on his pitches and gave him more of that cut to his normal fastball.

I don't think he is injured. I just think his mechanics are off at the end.

I'm guessing Peavy is gonna have to go 7 tonight

Ruh-roh

No. Take his a$$ out before he puts it out of reach.

why not bring in the pen with the way peavy has looked today? theyre fully rested. yuck

It would be easier if Peavy just told the offense that he wants to lose the game so they can stop trying.

Jake needs to lose the high socks, they're not working for him.

I'm watching Peavy's mechanics, he doesn't look hurt at all. Are you guys basing that off of the fact that his stuff just looks flat? Because that's a stupid reason to worry about an injury

His mechanics look identical from all of the other outings I've seen him pitch, even in San Diego

Don't discount the Cooper impact, where he tries to get the pitcher to throw slower in an effort to preserve their arm. But SSI is right, this is someone else wearing Peavy's jersey.

Keeps on shaking off AJ..

No I think it's the big a$$ hunk of chaw he got in his mouth.

Come on Jake!!!!!!

I'll accept greg775's apology about Andruw Jones at any time.

i hate ozzie this year (so far) no one even warming up?

Peavy angers me.

Here comes the squeeze

SSI; he still does the "Whip" at the end, but I don't think he's doing it as frequently due to him throwing a s***load of breakingballs tonight (he's not throwing many fastballs, which is where you'll see that whip-like motion)

:notworthy

Great pitch to McDonald there.

One more out dammit.

As for Peavy, his fastball has not broken 92.

Big out here Jake.

huge huge out here with 2 out

You could see it clear as day on the replay of the pitch to McDonald. Peavy is opening up way too early, and he's aiming the ball. He's throwing all arm right now. He's going to destroy his elbow if he keeps pitching this way.
