We need a new closer.

Jones needs to start full-time at DH. Kotsay can play sunday with the Ghost of Jayson Nix.

It's way more fun to watch Sportscenter and BBTN when we win.

We finally won in Toronto!!!

Santos, Thornton and Putz had 8k's. Very cool.

toronto losing streak OVAH!

14 hits!

I think I saw Jayson Nix in the dugout. I swear he's on the team.

We will sweep.

thank god

Teahen! Thank you for justifying my man-crush on you and your lady-dog!

Also...Jones. DH. Now, please! Did he hit righties? I missed most of the game. Stupid Muay Thai....

IF TCQ is playing DH and we're talking Jones in RF, you've got ourself a deal.

Awesome.

You should point Ozzie in his direction. I mean Nix is 5'5, but him and Ozzie should be able to see eye to eye.

Fortunately we have a few options. Putz, Santos and Thornton all looking good so far.

Also, if anyone can make me a sig picture with Jayson Nix on a milkbox with a, "Have you seen this, Man?" caption, i'll bounce them up a star in the always meaningful Soxtalk profile rankings.

I miss the days when I was 90-95% sure that if we were up after 8 (in this case up by 1 in the 11th) that the game was over. But I'll take the W. Awesome games from Jones/Teahen, Aside from Randy Williams, the bullpen was stellar.

Also, Jenks is not awful, 3 K's. Fantastic save? No. Awful save? No. If he can K people regularly, why are we pooping our pants?

Because he keeps giving up hits and putting men on.

I agree with you again Thunderbolt! Quite clearly you are a man of great intelligence. Which is why I want Jason Heyward to be yours.

I think he's fine. It's called the AL. We have no problem pointing out on this board the differences between the two leagues. If you're waiting for the Peavy from 2006/2007, you're going to be very disappointed. But I think he'll be fine.

I'm just worried that taking Jenks out of the pressure cooker will make him a terrible reliever. We all know the stereotype about Jenks in non-save situations.
