Why, it's the job of the manager to anticipate the next move.

 

Because it's not like loading up the bases with 1 outs is a bad move. If they pitch to Rios, it's a positive, if they walk the bases loaded, it's a positive. Neither result is bad for the Sox. Maybe his lack of confidence in AJ shows his confidence in Teahen and Ramirez to be able to get the job done.

 

Bunting runners over with 0 outs is not something unheard of. I know calling for Ozzie to be fired is a very popular thing right now, but not every move he makes is criticism worthy.
