anyone care to explain to me why carlos silva and tom gorzelanny look like koufax and drysdale? i mean i assume it has something to do with playing the reds, astros and mets, but sheesh .....those guys have pitched great and they are still 6-10

Gorzelanny looks great. Throwing around 93-94 mph with a filthy slider. Haven't seen Silva pitch yet.

so Peavy can't throw strikes, Buehrle can't pitch over mistakes, Garcia sucks, Floyd has been bad.. ugh.

Shades of Peavy's first start where he nibbles and can't hit the corners. He doesn't look comfortable, as his fastball was much crisper in the 1st.

Who would have ever guessed that Kotsay and Vizquel would have unproductive at bats against a pitcher who was struggling mightily?

 

At some point KW needs to realize that if he gives guillen a certin type of player that should be used for a specific purpose, he will be overused.

 

That L/R thing did not work in inning one as neither Omar or kotsay should be in there.

Two walks for Peavy, as he continues to nibble. What happened to his slider? I remember it being filthy with the Padres, but haven't seen anything from him this year.

Never in a million years would I even consider this trade.
