When is it next up for renegotiation?

In terms of draft slotting, MLB isn't the league with the worst problem and I know that the league with the worst problem is liable to start its lockout shortly after this year's Super Bowl, so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out before baseball's CBA comes up. By that time, it's possible that MLB could have the most unlimited/troublesome draft contract system.

I'd love to see the playing field completely leveled here and see a world wide draft, trading of draft picks, and hard caps on the slots.

Seriously...can we let Sale start a game or two?

I think that's a poor idea. He's struggled enough with his control already. Let him work on controlling everything in the AFL and ST next year and maybe, just maybe, we can think that we are 6 deep in starters coming into next year, although that'd still be pushing it.

He is also pushing up against his innings limit this year. He won't be starting any games this season.

I think he actually will be...but in the AFL. He pitched some extra innings last year in the Cape Cod league, so his total innings number still has a way to go this year.

I just don't want him beaten up by MLB hitters yet.
