Sox at Washington 6-19 game thread 3:10 pm first pitch

That was a horrible, horrible swing on a 3-1 fastball by Beckham. His mechanics at the plate are freaking terrible.

Beckham can't even hit with the count in his favor in his third at bat against some hack reliever.

You guys are right. He may need to be mercifully sent down.

I am finally on board with the thought of sending Beckham down, we cannot ruin this guy forever.

Woluld anyone consider sending Beckham down and play Omar at 2nd base and batting second while Viciedo/Teahen can take care of 3B?

I wish someone would fix Burnett's hat. . . he's wearing it cocked to the side like a total "bro." He looks like a total douche.

I think that's a great idea.

At this point, yes Blaze. Even Beckham probably wouldn't mind being sent down at this point.

Uh oh, Juan hit on hand?

I agree with it as well.

Morneau homers; 8-4 Philly. Nice rocket by Justin.

I am out. Be kind to my boy Bobby if he comes in the ninth.

As long as he continues to not allow baserunners, deal.

He's been doing it all week.

"Go circle yourself".

Dunn leading off . . . bad feeling about this AB. Dunn has just gotten under 2 pitches already this game.

Gonna have to keep the fastballs high and the sliders low

Jeez...hammered foul!

It would be nice to have a normal american league offense instead of having to hope that our pitchers outpitch the 2005 Sox. Even on this little run, we have had to pitch our asses off to get some wins.

Our offense in 2005 was #9 in the AL, this year it's #10.

Great location on those last two pitches to Dunn. Be careful with Willingham here, as Peavy's fastball has been tailing back over the plate the last two innings.

It was terrible offense in 2005. Thank god it got hot for a few weeks in the playoffs.

Jake's velocity appears to be up a MPH or two at this point.

It's about the same, he just has great command of it so far. Willingham's protect swing on that 0-2 pitch was comical.

Even if you could pick anybody in the world to be the White Sox hitting coach, how many runs would you realistically expect the line up Ozzie threw out there today to score?
