Nice swing by Andruw there...no idea why they didn't throw him a 3-2 offspeed pitch.

I don't disagree with the strategy, but the execution didn't go as I'd hoped.

I am too but I don't see exactly what Ozzie did wrong there.

Some people like to complain about things after the fact.

We just give away too many damn outs. Joba must be very quick to home, as it's not like Lillibridge had a bad jump there.

Cause I wanted to keep Konerko in the game in case we tie it or Konerko bats against Rivera in the 9th?

I see your point but there's nothing wrong with going aggressively towards the end of the game. I hate Ozzie more than anyone but you can't blame him for our lack of offensive production... not always, anyway. :D

that's a stretch

Lexi? Plate discipline?

Alexei trying to do way too much at the plate.

Great, it's all Rivera now. Game over?

Well, it's very comforting to know that we have Teahen leading off against Mariano Rivera...

Ramirez probably trying too hard there after witnessing what happened the last time with Teahen up and him not hitting.

Not a chance in hell he should be allowed to bat. It better be Quentin or Castro.

Castro all the way.

We know better though, fathom. ;)

The odds of that happening just went down by about 90%.

thus the strikeout touch.

Laughing at Farmer calling Kotsay "a gifted player" and an absolute "delight to have on this team." Praising his versatility, talking about how his diminished playing time could change in a heartbeat.

What is it with this guy?

It's like the Roberto Clemente Award is more important now than winning the ALCD.

Pitchers shouldn't be afraid to throw hanging curve balls or sliders. Not like we will do anything with em

Man... its gonna be hard losing 2-1 like this. I never say this (oh were gonna lose before the game is over) with any other closer in the league... except Mariano Rivera.

Manny's hitting now with bases loaded in the top of the 6th.

And promptly gets thrown out for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire.

LOL.

We need Beckham to take an outside cutter and line it into the Yankees bullpen.

Haha, Manny Ramirez just got ejected during an at bat. First pitch was outside during the AB, and he turned around and argued. What a trainwreck.

Manny just got tossed.

Perfect.

Guillen and Manny Ramirez both ejected within two minutes of each other.

Gardner was obviously safe, but it seems like the Yankees have gotten 90% of the questionable calls today.

How's Harrelson handling the umpiring today?

Seems like Guillen has been thrown out of more than 24 or 25 games in his career.

And Hawk just came in his pants. Nice play Mark!
