I still want to see Edwin against legitimate lineups, but wow!

Is it possible for Edwin to get s***tier run support from our offense? The guy has to give up a run or less each time out to have a chance at a win.

Problem with Quentin is he's worthless on the road, and he is pathetic against LHP. I'm all for getting rid of him this offseason if he has any value.

 

 

But then we end up with someone like Daric Barton as our 1B...there's just no way we can get back another bat that will give you 30 HR's and 100 RBI's for Quentin.

 

We couldn't even find a DH who could put up .275, 25, 80 for less than $8 million over the last year.

 

Losing Konerko (or Konerko having a more likely "down" season at his age)...there's just no replacement offensively for Carlos, unfortunately.

 

 

 

He'll get one more year...Gordon Beckham, as good as he was for most of 2009, couldn't hit a lick at USCF, and that made no sense either.

Second lowest wOBA among every day catchers. He's been Jason Kendall bad. Defense has been his saving grace this year.

oh well, i don't blame the effort.

The White Sox and Indians are playing like this is the final game of the season and both teams were eliminated from playoff contention 2 weeks ago.

 

Or the final game of a minor league season when everyone just wants to go home...this must be our worst offensive performance all season, and it's maddening with how good we've been offensively the last 2-3 weeks (MOST OF THE TIME).

 

Well, we can't blame this performance on Manny, that's for sure.

yes...and manny will not start tomorrow bc his hands were tired after the hr according to ozzie.

But we've got Tyler Flowers and his 35% K% and .769 OPS at AAA to look forward to next year.
