October 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 05:22 PM) I'm glad my rant sparked Rays to come back in the series. PS. Still not impressed with Colby Lewis, I've watched him few times this season, yea, he's had a decent year, overall 5.32 lifetime ERA, no thanks. Not much to go by before this year. Only had 217 1/3 IP before this year. Appears to be one of those late bloomers. And he's been better than "decent" this year: K/9 8.78, BB/9 2.91, HR/9 0.94, FIP 3.55, xFIP 3.93.

Yeah, he could be a fluke, but fluke guys can keep a run going for a full season.
October 11, 201015 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 02:32 PM) Well, looks like Lee and Price for the series. It could not have worked out better for the Yankees. They wont see either of those guys until game 3

October 13, 201015 yr I can't believe how much time they took on that DP. Terrible baseball. Man, I was hoping the Rays would win. Please pull this out. Edited October 13, 201015 yr by WsoxKillCubs
October 13, 201015 yr And this ball game is OVA! Oh well, good luck Rangers, I'm rooting for you the rest of the way.
October 13, 201015 yr Tampa has a lot of work to do this offseason to give themselves a decent lineup for next year. The bottom of their order was pathetic for a playoff team.
October 13, 201015 yr Pretty cool that Rangers are celebrating with Ginger Ale so that Hamilton can go into the clubhouse.
October 13, 201015 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 10:13 PM) Pretty cool that Rangers are celebrating with Ginger Ale so that Hamilton can go into the clubhouse. I was just about to post the exact same thing. Pretty cool indeed.
October 13, 201015 yr QUOTE (3E8 @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 11:17 PM) Responsible, but not cool I wonder why they couldn't use sparkling grape juice. It fizzes sort of like champagne.
October 13, 201015 yr QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) Cliff Lee's a stud. That guy is money in the playoffs! Again... Jake Peavy take note: THIS IS WHY KW TRADED FOR YOU. Get well soon and become that ace that we all want you to be.
October 13, 201015 yr QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) Cliff Lee's a stud. That guy is money in the playoffs! He is approaching legendary status (if he isn't there already) as far as a post season performer. I also find it interesting that Texas celebrates with gingerale instead of champane in their clinching games cuz of Hamilton's alcohol problems in the past. Pure class by Texas FO.
October 13, 201015 yr QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 12:46 AM) He is approaching legendary status (if he isn't there already) as far as a post season performer. I also find it interesting that Texas celebrates with gingerale instead of champane in their clinching games cuz of Hamilton's alcohol problems in the past. Pure class by Texas FO. Last night Lee broke a couple of records. He tied Walter Johnson for the most consecutive 10+ strikeout performances in road playoff games, and he either tied or snapped Kevin Brown's record for strikeouts in a division series. And you can legitimately debate whether or not he's the 3rd best pitcher in the playoffs right now.
October 13, 201015 yr The ginger ale thing was a pretty sweet way for the Rangers to get Hamilton involved in the celebration. I was wondering if they were going to be doing anything like that when TBS showed them in the clubhouse.
October 13, 201015 yr Glad to see TEX win. I have a dislike for the Rays, mostly because of their fans. They are horrible supporting their team, and those cowbells irritated the s*** out of me in 2008. That said, either team, I want to have beat the Yankees. So, go Rangers!
