Just beat Gears 3 on hardcore after having it for 2 days... pretty short but the action is intense. Story line is interesting as well. Now time to beat it on Insanity level... this will make it much more challenging.

I couldn't wait until X-Mas (stupidly asked for it thinking the wait wouldn't be too long), so I redbox'd that s*** over the weekend and started dominating dudes online with the Bulls.

 

It took me awhile to figure out how to hop-step. Hold L2 and use d-pad right or left. Once I figured that out, the world was at D-Rose's mercy.

 

The game is fantastic. They somehow made it even better. I imagine December 26th - end of time I will be playing this.

Rose on a fastbreak with the hopstep is unstoppable.

 

Rip's also a pretty good shooter from 3. Him and Deng can light it up all day with open looks.

Lebron with the spin move hop step is incredible especially since he makes damn near 99 percent of all contact layups. The animation of spinning around a helpless mortal on his way to the rack is freaking hilarious.

So, my all time NBA roster has hit a snag...there's a CAP limit.

 

If there's no work around, I'm stuck with 8 complete teams (Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, Knicks, Jazz, Cavaliers, SuperSonics, Hawks).

I made the same mistake as Steve and asked for it for Christmas. Can't wait.

One thing I really am enjoying so far (don't have enough games under my belt to see how repetitive he gets) is the addition of Steve Kerr to the commentary. It's very natural, and he adds great insight to players.

 

They did a great job keeping none of the player-specific commentary from talking about the previous year's team. That plus the white jerseys for everyone really helps with player movement.

EDIT: Ok, I think I figured it out. I won "33% off a Valve game" thing that doesn't seem very valuable considering is already like 50% off or more, so the coupon is less than valuable.
