February 18, 201115 yr QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:02 PM) You, my friend, are wrong. Deep dish is disgusting. While I wouldn't say deep dish is disgusting, you and me both know that Ach 'n Lou's is the best pizza!

February 18, 201115 yr QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) pequod's (in lincoln park) is a revelation. Carmelized crust.....yes Ah s*** I forgot to put that on my list. I also like Aurelios, but only sometimes. Their sauce can get quite sweet.
February 18, 201115 yr QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) pequod's (in lincoln park) is a revelation. Carmelized crust.....yes Was there the other night, great stuff If anyone watches Anthony Bourdain, he goes to a pizza place called Bert's in Morton Grove. Well in short, Bert is the man who opened Pequod's and got sick of it so he sold it. I have yet to go there but have heard great things and obviously he is the reason why Pequod's is what it is right now.
February 19, 201115 yr QUOTE (NIUSox @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:14 PM) While I wouldn't say deep dish is disgusting, you and me both know that Ach 'n Lou's is the best pizza! This is a fact. I know that Soxy is also a big fan of Ach n Lou's.
February 19, 201115 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 12:48 PM) You dont like the super crispy thin crust once in awhile? Coalfire does the Neapolitan type of pizza, its pretty good. Not in the least. I don't like a crispy pizza at all.
February 19, 201115 yr QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:02 PM) You, my friend, are wrong. Deep dish is disgusting. Honestly, I love a turnover versus anything else. I like Deep Dish, but I love a good turnover.
February 19, 201115 yr QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) Completely agree. Thin Crust >>>>>> Deep Dish. From: Irvine, CA Explains it all.
February 19, 201115 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 19, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) From: Irvine, CA Explains it all. If he's from CA, then he ought to be praising a barbeque chicken pizza, or something with duck sausage and olives, something like that. (That duck sausage pizza was really good)
February 19, 201115 yr Ok fatasses. I'm officially starving after reading through this thread and I can't spend any money right now. Carmelized crust? Duck sausage? I need food!
February 19, 201115 yr QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 07:28 PM) This is a fact. I know that Soxy is also a big fan of Ach n Lou's. You North Aurora kids & your Ach n Lou's. Not even the best pizza in either Aurora. Yeah, I went there.
February 19, 201115 yr This is terrible news. I just ordered some yesterday and now I read this. Giordano's has been my favorite place since I first had it (I was 12 or 13, I think). I would cry if it went down.
February 20, 201115 yr lol this thread just made me order a deep dish pan. Anyone have any chicago deep dish recipes!?!
February 20, 201115 yr QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 19, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) You North Aurora kids & your Ach n Lou's. Not even the best pizza in either Aurora. Yeah, I went there. Ok Marcus, enlighten me where is the best pizza in either Aurora.
