Bullpen needs to be reconstructed. It can be done internally, but are they willing to eat the contracts of Pena and Ohman.

In comparison, Peavy gets 17mil, Dunn 14mil and Konerko 12mil

 

I cant imagine that the Sox will have 4 of the top 20 paid players, my guess is there are at least 30 players who are getting paid $13mil or more.

The ML team is sufficient for now. But we've got some bad contracts and no organizational depth. A playoff appearance would go a long way in alleviating those issues. But think about that...It's never a good thing when you're future is that predicated on making the playoffs.
