ESPNChiSox Doug Padilla Beckham had full CT scan & X-rays that were normal. Eye exam came back normal as well. Status for today unknown.

Nice.

He should wear a Rip Hamilton mask for the rest of his career. I'd love it.

Yes, I know...interesting how you were the person to point this out...

What's interesting about it? Technically DJ made the claim 'season done', he must be a troll!

Glad to see you're still making friends here!

Haha really? Please, tell me what you were trying to accomplish with your "Interesting you were the one to point it out" comment other than to stir up s***? Why post that instead of something relevant to the topic?

I can see right through your juvenile attempts at baiting, get lost unless you wanna talk baseball

If my purpose was to bait you, it's fairly difficult to say that it didn't work.

However, my purpose was to point out to you that you post so much nonsense that no one takes you seriously.

I don't think I've ever seen you post anything other than some doom and gloom nonsense. I guess I'm just curious why you feel as though you have to be the Grim Reaper every day?

ironic since my first post in this thread was far from negative, and yet you still felt the need to call me out

do you have a purpose other than being an expert on what I post on here?

Need Becks back tomorrow. Omar's looked every bit of 44 at the dish these past few days.

Lilli needs to play a bit more regularly, subbing for Alex or Juan or CQ (bumping him to DH for the Mule) until he proves (again) he can't. He may or may not be turning the corner as a hitter, but his number of AB's to this point is probably 30-40 below where it should be based on the struggles of the above. Another case of Ozzie mismanagement.

What new?

WGN game today had a shot of the dugout and the players around Beckham made him show his face to the camera. Pretty swollen. Might not be back for acouple games or so. At least it ain't a serious injury. Looked bad though

That's too bad. Obviously, if you can't see, you can't hit. Maybe play Lilli at 2b til then? Ozzie, rightfully, prefers the Elf in the OF, but maybe not the EOTW for a couple of games. Omar needs to rest.

I don't think I've ever seen a guy get hit in the face on a throw from the outfield before.

Looks MUCH better. Glad he's alright. And I know this is going to sound selfish and I'll be looked at as the demon downer (I don't like Debbie). But am I the only one worried that this could bother Becks for the rest of the year? Or that it will be used as an excuse if he never recovers? I could totally see if in two weeks and Gordon is still struggling that the ball to the eye will be the culprit Walker, Ozzie, Ranger, Merkin, Hawk, etc point to.

Maybe being hit in the face will wake him up.

That's kind of harsh unless it was a joke. I wouldn't wish a big ol fat black eye on anybody except a criminal.
