F*** it III: Sox vs The National. First Pitch 7:10 CT

Featured Replies

Well, this game is an exercise in offensive futility.

No winner, winner chicken dinner on that gamble.

Should have gotten hung up so the runner could try to get to 2B. Brutal. Carlos Lee-esque there.

Werth has to be running.

Legitimate question: at what point do you bench Dunn? I'm all for letting him work it out if you're not in a pennant race, but since we've climbed back into contention, you can't keep letting him hurt you. Hopefully he'll figure it out in the next few months, but for right now, the big man needs to take a step back and regroup.

I don't think you can, not for more than a couple games, at least not without a dl stint.

who the f*** did AJ think he was for b****ing at Peavy when he can't even throw out a runner with a pitchout. Pathetic.

Agreed, and Peavy wasn't even pitching *that* poorly, not a QS but not worthy of being shown up

But that's for a different thread

That far ahead Aj could have run at him and maybe turned 2 if the runner went to 2b

The one thing White Sox baseball gives me is a flash back to little league baseball. Whenever a runner gets on base you immediately steal second.

He gawn! Nice, Edwin!!!

Peavy making the "knife to the neck" gesture at AJ's throwing futilty.

Joking...

With Jackson's stuff tonight, it seems like the Nationals will have to steal 2nd and 3rd OR homer.

Edwin hasn't looked this good since the Tampa game.

If they can make it happen, a DL stint might be a good idea.

Get a physical and psychological exam. Get an eye exam and get him in extended spring training working on his swing.

houdini job there

Ssssshhh. What if there's a manager or 2 out there that don't know this?

That's about the only option other than playing him.

Yankees Montero is looking more and more like a Sox target, if we could acquire him this year it'd make him ready for the bigs after AJ's deal expires next year

Does extended spring training still exist at this point in June?

Aren't all of the players out of the complex now to the short-season teams?

on Gameday they got Edwin's heater up at around 96-98, any1 can verify if they notice a slight boost in Jackson's fastball tonight?

They wouldn't give him up for Greinke last year. And the sox don't look like sellers any more

just seems like guys are really tightening up with RISP.

Well, there's gotta be an instructional guy who can come to Chicago for him, then.

What's Tom Emanski doing these days? :D

The comcast gun agrees

I would've called a pitchout on the 0-2 count when Werth stole 2nd.

Of course, that would've only exposed AJ even more when he was safe. So maybe not a good idea.

waiting around for a paulie homer ain't going to get it done, boys

C'mon now bats let's get on the board this inning!

had our chance to put this guy on the ropes early, now he's locked in.

It's at this point that Pierre should be pinch hit for.

Nice Fail from the scoreboard on the top of the site

Pitching: Edwin Jackson

At Bat: Juan Pierre
