Some truth to unpatriotic liberals?

Don't want your kids to vote Republican? Don't celebrate the 4th.

Interesting study.

Along with most people, I've always held that the GOP is the party of patriotism. It shows in the ideology of 95% of the military, it shows in our belief in American exceptionalism, and personally I think our belief in small government and free market enterprise is more in line with the beliefs of our Founding Fathers. But it's still interesting to see a study that backs it up empirically.

I love my country more than you because I have more merchandise with American flags on it.

Do you at least have 11 year old Chinese kids harvesting the cotton and melting down the American made steel which you pay 30 cents a day so you can then create these American made I love my country pins and flags?

Sounds socialist to me, a true American believes in free markets and capitalism.

Is a small child not entitled to the sweat of her brow?

LOL, yes, the GOP is the party of patriots. They are also the party of racism and bigotry. Any other laughable, empty stereotypes we want to throw out there?

And seriously FlySox, take a look at the "survey" that they are citing. Do you really not see the obvious polluting factors in there?

Also, wait until Y2HH tells you what he thinks of surveys.

I think FlySox should quote some comedians instead of survey's that way it holds more weight.

Which surveys from comedians are you referring to?

When have you ever seen me quote a comedian for weight? Or for any reason in this forum?

At least I'm consistent in my dislike for surveys.

You pick and choose which ones you want to agree with. :P

That wasn't for you specifically. it was a general comment, which is why I didn't quote anyone.

It was a shot at John Stewart, yes?

George Carlin is f***ing awesome, though.

Both of them are awesome. I've always had a problem quoting comedians in certain conversations, mostly because they're 'comedians' and you don't know if they're saying something because they mean it or if it's just part of the act, but whether they mean it or not means nothing to me. The things they say can have value/meaning, and dismissing it simply because they're a comedian is silly.

George Carlin, in specific, had some very funny talking points but also said some things that I find very truthful...

That was the brilliance of Carlin... he'd outline some completely absurd scenario and then he'd drop the hammer on you like "oh... I'm actually not really joking."

He is a great comedian. But I sure am not going to quote him to support my political beliefs.

This argument is pointless. No one needs to defend themselves to me, but the fact that no one refuted any of my points about unpatriotic things done by leftists means my opinion isn't going to change much. No one could even offer up a reason that liberals serve in the military in such puny numbers. So yeah, my opinion on this isn't going to change anytime soon.

A message only goes as far as its recipient is willing to listen.

Whether you like my reasons for my beliefs or not, I do. And I will stand by them until someone offers better reasons to believe something else. A little flaming from the very people I'm against in the first place is not going to change my thoughts.

:lolhitting What ignorant bulls*** in this thread.

That's not what I'm getting at... I'm saying you're going about this the wrong way. You come in guns blazing and attacking someone's ideology and belief system right from jump, and demanding they explain how and why they are not seditious parasites who are destroying America and you can't be surprised when you either get nothing or you get resistance/hostility. The reaction is the same as the one you give when someone does it to you. Took me a while to figure this out, myself. I have to pick and choose how I respond to things and when, otherwise it burns a lot of my energy that I'd rather spend playing with my son, screwing around on Xbox, jacking off, etc.

As you should. Don't let these libtards scare you off...especially BigSqwert and lostfan.
