A guy doesn't have to be a savior to be a decent ballplayer.

Agreed. The "savior" talk from Ozzie is grade A bullplop.

We don't need a savior. We need incremental improvement of the offense to where we score enough to win a decent percentage of our quality starts.

De Aza. Something. Anything.

We need the guys on this roster to start playing like they are paid. That would do more for this team than anything else.

why sacrifice when Pierre has a pair of hits already

I thought the same thing. We're taking the bat out of the only hitter who has figured out Masterson. What good is it for Vizquel to be on second, by forsaking an out, when no one will move him over to third, much less home.

Especially with the huge hole between 1st and 2nd and with Alexei struggling so much lately.

Ramirez needed to take one for the team there so that its 1 & 2 and Konerko can hit.

That is part of the problem with the Sox right now, they just dont have players who are willing to sacrifice to win games. When you are struggling you have to do anything to get on base.

Lets hope Dunn gets lucky here.

Do you actually believe that's going to happen with Dunn or Rios? Is 100+ games not enough?
